Dan grew up in Queenstown where the passion for mountain hunting began. After serving 8 years as an armourer in the NZ Army, where he became a Shooting Coach, Range Conducting Officer and worked with the elite of NZ forces. He has since moved back to Queenstown to spend more time hunting the mountains he calls home. He has guided and hunted the mountains of NZ and abroad and is now instructing others in this passion of his. He is a bit of a gear nut so is constantly on the lookout for the lightest toughest gear about to add function and remove grams to his time in the hills.
